Gushing

There are moments, when you least expected, being a mother can be such a joyful, wonderful thing. Henry and mommy have had this conversation for a while and it goes like this:

Mommy: "Hey, Henry!"

Henry: "What?"

Mommy:"Guess what?"

Henry: "What?"

Mommy: "I love you!"

Henry, parroted mommy, "I yua u."

We go on and on like this all the time. A couple times he would be quick and said "I yua u" at the same time when I said mine.

But this morning...

When I dropped him off at Wendy's, I said "Bye, Henry." And Henry, in his typical way of talking slowly " Bye... Mommy... I yua u." Mommy was elated! He said "I yua u" without being prompted, without being asked, without being reminded. He said it totally on his own!!

Oh, happiness can come from such a tiny, sweet person and it lasted all day long and beyond!
